West Virginia is always making new strides in industries like business, manufacturing and technology. However, none of this would be possible without ensuring the health of its population. Across the state lie health care professionals who work tirelessly to keep citizens healthy, in turn giving the Mountain State stronger families, workplaces and communities.
In order to give much-deserved credit to those working to improve the state’s health care, West Virginia Executive magazine hosts the Health Care Hall of Fame. Created in 2020, the award program highlights the exemplary efforts of leaders in medicine and health care innovation whose contributions will make long-lasting positive impacts on West Virginia.
Each Health Care Hall of Fame inductee has a unique story of impact—whether it’s expanding access to care in rural areas, revolutionizing patient treatment or educating the next generation of health care professionals. These individuals represent the very best of what West Virginia has to offer.
The efforts of the 2025 class of the Health Care Hall of Fame demonstrate how a single person’s work or vision can improve the well-being of countless individuals and communities. Their stories prove that with the right determination and motivation to make a difference, important and long-lasting change can be made.
Do you know someone making a significant impact in health care across West Virginia? The Health Care Hall of Fame accepts nominations year-round. Nominees must have lived in West Virginia and held their current role for at least two years while making meaningful contributions to the state’s health care landscape.
