The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) West Virginia District Office is excited to announce their 2015 Small Business Week Award Winners. The winners receive recognition during a noon luncheon at the 25th annual Teaming to Win conference, Wednesday, May 27 at Canaan Resort and Conference Center in Davis. Secretary of State Natalie Tennant will emcee the event. Details regarding the luncheon and conference are forthcoming and can be found at teamingtowin.org.

West Virginia’s top small business SBA lenders also receive recognition during the celebration: West Virginia Community Bank of the Year is MVB Bank, for approving seven SBA-guaranteed loans in West Virginia totaling nearly $900,000. West Virginia Lender of the Year is Huntington National Bank for approving 78 SBA-guaranteed loans worth over $12 million.
“I have traveled the state to visit each of these winners and we are very lucky to have such a great group of small business owners and champions representing us this year,” states SBA West Virginia District Director Karen Friel. “It is important that we take time to recognize them for their ongoing commitment to making West Virginia a great place to work, live, and raise a family.”
