Join Generation Charleston members for Social Hour on Thursday, April 7 at Tony The Tailor – one of West Virginia’s finest men’s stores carrying quality modern clothing, denim and footwear. This is an event not to be missed.
Complimentary food and drink will be provided.
During April Social Hour, Generation Charleston will help other young professionals throughout the greater Kanawha Valley by teaming up with Charleston Area Alliance members Tony The Tailor, Ivor’s Trunk, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central West Virginia and the Charleston Family YMCA for Dress for Success Clothing Drive.
Suits and other professional attire may be dropped off at Social Hour or Ivor’s Trunk located at 819 Lee St. E.
Big Brothers Big Sisters and the YMCA will distribute the donated professional attire to those needing clothing for job interviews.
Participants are encouraged to donate the following:
- Men’s dress pants, dress shirts, suits, dress shoes and ties of any color at Tony The Tailor.
- Ladies’ dress pants, suits, dress shirts, dresses and shoes at Ivor’s Trunk.
“Social Hour is your opportunity to meet many talented young professionals in a relaxed atmosphere,” said Nina Shell, chair of Generation Charleston, a committee of the Charleston Area Alliance. “You can learn about all of the creative events and initiatives of Generation Charleston, aimed to attract and retain young talent, and expand your valuable professional network while gaining lifelong friendships.”
Social Hour is hosted at a different venue each month, introducing members to new and diverse establishments.
April’s Social Hour will be from 5: 30 to 7 p.m. April 7 at Tony The Tailor at 822 Virginia St. E.
Social Hour is open to the public with no admission fee. However, guests are required to register online to attend.
