Marshall University senior Justin Havey recently won a silver ADDY in cinematography at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) district level, which encompasses regional and state advertising chapters in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.
Havey received the district silver ADDY for his “Union Cemetery – Beautiful Ohio Series” video project after receiving a gold ADDY at the AAF West Virginia (AAF-WV) chapter awards reception in Cross Lanes, WV, last month. Silver and gold chapter awards are sent to the district level for competition.
“We are incredibly proud of Justin for receiving this honor,” said AAF-WV President Ashley Showen. “Winning such a prestigious award speaks volumes of Justin’s talent and dedication to his craft. This is an amazing accomplishment that many people do not even experience in their professional careers – and he did it as as college student. Justin has a very bright future in communications and we look forward to following him on his path of success.”
Havey’s win at the district level automatically qualifies his project for entry into the AAF national competition later this year.
