Monongalia and Preston counties have an exciting new tool with which to attract new businesses into the region. This month, the Morgantown Area Economic Partnership (MAP), launched a brand new website showcasing the diversity, accomplishments, amenities and continued growth enjoyed by the region. ItsMorgantown.com is one part of a larger branding campaign created, designed and executed by Morgantown-based The STICK Co.

“Our new website really capitalizes on all that this area is doing well,” said MAP President+CEO Holly Childs. “The region has so much going for it, including a talented workforce, thriving businesses, an outstanding quality of life, and exemplary educational facilities. I am so proud to show the world our greater Morgantown region – including Monongalia and Preston Counties – through this fantastic new site.”

MAP is the regional economic development organization based in Morgantown and promoting the greater Morgantown MSA, which includes the communities of both Monongalia and Preston counties. Childs joined MAP in 2015 and brings more than 20 years of public and private development experience to the helm of the organization. She is a Certified Economic Developer, and has previously worked in economic development leadership roles throughout the country, including Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and metro Phoenix.

In part through generous grant funding provided by the Route 2 – I-68 Authority, MAP was able to completely modernize the look and feel of the agency’s entire branding package.   Given the talent required for such a comprehensive project, the MAP board of directors was thrilled to be able to partner with local branding agency STICK to complete the work.

“Working with Holly and this organization has been an incredibly rewarding experience for our team,” said STICK President Damian Ferek. “STICK was born and raised right here in Morgantown. Like many of the success stories we feature on the site, we owe so much to this community in terms of our continued success in the region, and we have a vested interest in doing our part to ensure this area continues to thrive.”
