Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, hosted a reception on May 17 at the Morgantown office, one of its newest local offices in the United States. Office managing shareholder Nick Linn is a West Virginia native who, after practicing in Dallas for many years, relocated to establish a presence in Morgantown in November of 2011. During his time in Dallas, Linn maintained close ties to Morgantown, which has welcomed him back as a familiar part of the local business community.
“I am thrilled to be home in West Virginia. The Morgantown office will enable Littler to better serve its existing clients, and I look forward to the opportunity to introduce Littler’s vast labor and employment resources to employers across West Virginia,” said Linn.
Joe Newmeyer, membership representative from the Morgantown Chamber of Commerce officiated a ribbon-cutting ceremony to signify the formal opening of the office. The ceremony and reception were well attended by in-house counsel from local companies, various Chamber of Commerce members and city officials and their families.
The new Littler office is located in the United Center, 1085 Van Voorhis Road, Suite 200. As office managing shareholder, Linn will be responsible for serving the firm’s current clients in the state while expanding Littler’s client base and attracting local talent. An experienced lawyer, Linn has represented both private and public sector employers in a wide variety of employment litigation and traditional labor matters throughout the United States. Prior to joining Littler, Linn worked for a Fortune 100 information technology company, where he served as vice president in charge of all employment litigation and employment-related legal matters on a global basis.
