The South Charleston Chamber of Commerce will host “Speak Easy of Murder” an interactive Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 7:00pm at the Comedy Zone Charleston located at the Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West, 400 Second Avenue, South Charleston. The play will be performed by Murder and Merriment, a mystery troupe based in Huntington, West Virginia. Proceeds from the show will benefit the South Charleston Chamber of Commerce.
In this mystery party, it is 1928, and mobster & bootlegger, Danny “Lucky” Campisano hosts a party for friends and associates. He has ordered a special case of illegal gin just for the occasion. Unfortunately, the gin is poisoned and someone wants to spoil the party! Guests who correctly solve “who dunnit?” will compete for a prize at the end of the evening. Guests can come as they are or dress for the Roaring 20s.
Tickets, which are $40/each, include a two-entree Italian buffet dinner and interactive entertainment. A cash bar, with drink specials, will be available. Admission is limited to those guests age 21 and over. Guests are encouraged to turn the evening into a mini-staycation. Overnight packages, including breakfast, are available at the Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West, starting at only $175/couple.
