The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education has ranked West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) as one of the most affordable colleges in America. WVNCC was ranked the 74th lowest net price among two-year colleges in the U.S. and the second lowest net price in the state of West Virginia.
“Our Board of Governors, faculty and staff are dedicated to providing an affordable, quality and engaging education,” commented WVNCC Interim President, Mike Koon. “Students who attend Northern spend less, but can obtain a high quality education and technical training.”
The net price is determined by the price of attendance minus grant and scholarship aid. WVNCC’s net price is $3,982. The national average is $7,351. WVNCC classes for the fall semester start August 27, and there is still time to enroll. Anyone interested in attending the New Martinsville, Weirton or Wheeling Campuses can apply in person at the college or online at www.wvncc.edu
West Virginia Northern Community College is a two-year comprehensive community college offering transfer degrees and programs in the Liberal Arts, Career-Technical and Community and Continuing Education on three campuses in the northern panhandle.
