Concord University’s Veterans Upward Bound is hosting the 2019 Veterans Resource Fair on Wednesday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Jean and Jerry Beasley Student Center Ballroom on Concord’s Athens campus.
This free event will be a one-stop-shop for information about benefits, jobs, housing and educational opportunities for veterans and their families. There is no registration fee and light refreshments will be provided.
“Our community is stronger when we work together. This is especially true when it comes to serving our nation’s veterans,” stated Kristen Williams, Veterans Upward Bound Academic Advisor.
With a variety of businesses, organizations and institutions attending the fair, Williams said the event will be “a great opportunity for our veterans and community to make important career and resource contacts with local and regional veterans’ organizations and resources.”
Concord University student veterans and veterans in the surrounding community are invited to attend the Veterans Resource Fair.
