Dawn Walker has been appointed as Senior Admission Counselor at Davis & Elkins College. In this position, Walker represents D&E at college fairs and in high schools throughout Pennsylvania to seek out potential students.
“Attending college fairs allows me to speak with students who may not be aware of D&E otherwise,” Walker says. She also meets with high school guidance counselors to make them aware of the benefits of a D&E education.
Walker’s additional responsibilities are finding students who are a good fit for D&E, assessing their applications, and assisting them throughout the admission process.
Walker received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Media in 1997 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She brings with her 12 years of experience in sales, marketing, and recruiting. Walker was an admissions representative and recruiter for Douglas Education Center in Monessen, PA, from 2010 to 2012. She also worked previously as a sales representative for the commercial security industry for six years.
“I am very happy to be a part of the D&E Admission team,” Walker says. “I love traveling and meeting students, and I am proud to represent D&E because I know that we provide a quality education on a beautiful, friendly campus.”
