Black Diamond Realty, headquartered in Morgantown, WV, has expanded to the eastern panhandle. The commercial real estate brokerage firm held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 6, 2023 in Martinsburg, WV. Berkeley and Jefferson County Chambers of Commerce and many other business community members attended the event.
Andrea Icenhower is the office’s graphic designer and office manager. David Lorenze, principal, and Kim Licciardi, senior associate, are the primary licensed agents serving the area. The firm’s broker is Mark Nesselroad. Diamond Realty specializes in all commercial real estate sectors across West Virginia and southwestern Pennsylvania. The firm is actively recruiting new commercial associates to join the eastern panhandle expansion.
“Our goal is to become ingrained in the community and to continue to elevate West Virginia and all it has to offer,” Lorenze says.
The brokerage exclusively represents commercial buyers, tenants, sellers and landlords. A reason for the office expansion is the economic development growth potential in both Berkeley and Jefferson counties. The team of experts is eager to bring its services and offerings to the area.
Black Diamond Realty’s roots are in Morgantown, where it began its commercial real estate focus in 2013.
Icenhower explains, “the company fills a niche, particularly when compared to those whose services are blended in both commercial and residential sectors.”
Black Diamond Realty provides its clients with the highest quality service. The firm employs three graphic designers and focuses on presentation, process and people. Its motto is “Real Service. Real Value. Real Results.”
“We are excited to open our doors, to serve this region and to witness the continued economic growth of the eastern panhandle,” says Icenhower.
West Virginia’s eastern panhandle has been the state’s strongest economic region for well over a decade, experiencing sustained growth in population, employment, income and a host of other major economic indicators. The three-county area, Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties, have surpassed pre-pandemic levels for total employment and has seen its adult workforce increase to more than 100,000 employees. The eastern panhandle’s manufacturing sector is expected to record additional job growth over the next five years, expanding at a rate of nearly 0.7%. Eastern panhandle’s proximity to and economic ties with the DC Beltway economy is expected to drive opportunities for a range of high-tech and front-office jobs in defense and non-defense federal contracting as well as the private sector.
Black Diamond Realty brokers prime opportunities in the north central and eastern panhandle areas that have the potential to secure major employers and economic development. Location remains the golden rule when making real estate investment and development decisions. Buying and developing in a growing, diversified market heightens the likelihood an investor/developer will make a profitable decision.
