Potesta & Associates, Inc. (POTESTA) congratulates its employee, Daniel M. Boyles, PE, for being named the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) West Virginia Section 2024 Young Civil Engineer of the Year.
ASCE is a leading professional organization that fosters the development and advancement of civil engineering through education, advocacy and the promotion of innovative practices. This award is presented to a younger member who has demonstrated leadership potential while performing civil engineering duties at the local, state or federal government level.
Daniel graduated from West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, WV, and has worked at POTESTA since 2019. Daniel was an active member of the WVU Student Chapter of the ASCE for four years and served as captain of the AISC/ASCE Student Steel Bridge Competition Team which won first place at the 2018-2019 Virginias Student Symposium. Since 2021, he has assisted in judging the competition each year at the symposium. He is currently an associate member of ASCE and president of the Younger Member Forum of the West Virginia Section.
