The West Virginia Hive Network started offering the nationally-recognized CO.STARTERS business courses in 2020 at the subsidized rate of $50 per person, and a number of successful local entrepreneurs say this was the best investment they ever made.
“Erica Bowden of Auntie E’s in McArthur is an excellent example of someone who credits the CO.STARTERS program with taking a great idea and turning it into a viable business,” says Judy Moore, executive director of the WV Hive and deputy director of the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority.
Moore said WV Hive subsidizes the cost of the training so it is affordable to all, even those wanting to test the validity of their business concepts. To learn more and register, click here.

“The CO.STARTERS Bootcamp allows participants to gain the tools, insights and support one needs to bring their entrepreneurial vision to life,” Moore says. “The interactive program allows business people to work with their peers to strategize, problem solve and apply business basics to your idea.”
