HospiceCare, West Virginia’s largest and oldest provider of hospice, palliative and bereavement services, hosted friends and supporters of the non-profit at DT Prime for the organization’s annual fundraising dinner. The sold-out event was a success, with more than $9,400 raised to support patients and families in HospiceCare’s 16-county service area.

The event marked a new chapter for HospiceCare’s annual gathering, as DT Prime graciously stepped in to serve as the venue following the closure of long-time partner, Tidewater Grill, in April, just weeks before HospiceCare’s scheduled fundraiser. The community’s response to this transition was overwhelmingly positive, with all seats selling out just two weeks after the dinner was announced. The evening was filled with generosity and compassion, with HospiceCare board members, community partners and hospice supporters enjoying a night of food and companionship, all going to a great cause.

“We are deeply grateful for the support and enthusiasm shown by everyone who attended our inaugural dinner at DT Prime,” says HospiceCare Chief Executive Officer Christopher Rawlings. “The funds raised will significantly impact the lives of the families we serve, providing them with the comfort and care they need during challenging times. We are so grateful to DT Prime for stepping up to ensure the legacy of the annual dinner continues. This event’s success demonstrates the strength and compassion of our community, and we are excited to build on this momentum for future events.”

The funds raised at the dinner will directly support HospiceCare’s mission to offer compassionate care and affirm life through hospice, palliative and other supportive care services to the patients, families and communities served throughout West Virginia.
