Dawn Lewis, for My Bank! First United Bank & Trust, has been named one of the 2013 Next Leaders in Banking presented by the Maryland Bankers Association, the Warren Group and the Maryland Banker magazine. The 2013 Next Leaders in Banking award recognizes up and coming leaders in the Maryland banking industry.
Before becoming the Audit Manager for First United in 2009, Dawn held the position of Senior Staff Auditor within First United. Prior to her employment with My Bank, Dawn worked for five years in public accounting and performed audits for colleges, non-profits and government entities. She also prepared tax returns for individuals and businesses.

Dawn is a graduate of Frostburg State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Economics and Business Administration and is an honors graduate of the Maryland Banking School. She has also been a certified bank auditor since 2003 and has been a member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors since 2007. Outside of the banking industry, Dawn serves on the Healthy Families / Early Care of Garrett County Advisory Board. She is very active as a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church serving as the vice president of the Church Council as well as, Sunday school superintendent and teacher. Dawn resides in Oakland, MD with her husband Jeremy and their six year old son Hank. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, swimming, four-wheeling and gardening.
