Breeze Airways recently launched its new nonstop service from Charleston, WV, to New York-Newark, NJ. West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW) celebrated the inaugural flight with a New York-themed gate party featuring bagels, coffee and special giveaways, bringing a taste of the Big Apple to Charleston.
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) joins Myrtle Beach, SC, Tampa, FL, and Orlando, FL, as the fourth destination served by Breeze from CRW, offering travelers more options to explore popular locations and connect easily with family, friends and business opportunities. Flights to Newark, NJ, will be available on

“The addition of nonstop service to New York-Newark marks a significant milestone for our airport and community,” says Dominique Ranieri, CEO & airport director of CRW. “This flight connects West Virginia and the Northeast, fostering new opportunities for tourism and business growth in our region.”
“We’ve been looking forward to the start of the New York-Newark Breeze flight to CRW since it was announced,” West Virginia Department of Tourism Secretary Chelsea Ruby says.
“This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Governor Justice, the Legislature, the airport and our local partners. Thanks to their continued partnership and investment in tourism infrastructure across the state, we have made great strides and opened up West Virginia to new markets of travelers.”
Breeze was recently recognized as a Four-Star, Low-Cost Carrier at the 2025 Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) Five-Star and Four-Star Airline Awards, placing it among the top eight percent of airlines worldwide for passenger experience.
