BridgeValley Community & Technical College Students Win National Honors

BridgeValley Community and Technical College’s Phi Beta Lambda students earned top ten placement at PBL’s National Leadership Conference (NLC) held in Atlanta, GA June 23rd-27th.  Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association with a quarter million students preparing nationally for careers in business and business-related fields.

BridgeValley CTC had top national top ten placements, including one first place at the national competition.

“The students work hard to compete against community colleges and baccalaureate institutions that are nationally recognized,” said Megan Lorenz, Dean of Business, Legal, and Human Services.  “These awards are a great honor for not just the students, but for the Business Studies faculty members who strive for excellence in the quality of business education provided at our college.”

Students became eligible to compete at the NLC after finishing at the top of their categories at the State Leadership Conference, which was held in April in Charleston, WV.

More than 1,700 college students competed at the NLC.

BridgeValley awards one-year certificates and two-year associate degrees in many fields including accounting, finance, management, healthcare management, marketing, and administrative professional technology.
