Monday, U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced more than $10 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for health centers throughout West Virginia to continue supporting healthcare operations and expanding access to care.
“West Virginia’s community health centers play an important role in keeping our communities healthy. These HHS grants will help with training, operational support and improved patient access at health centers throughout West Virginia,” said Senator Capito.
“All West Virginians deserve access to quality, affordable health care,” Senator Manchin said. “This funding will help strengthen and expand treatment services for our health facilities that provide our children, families and seniors – especially in West Virginia’s more rural areas – with the preventative and primary care necessary to help keep West Virginians healthy.”
