West Virginia relies on strong leaders to carry the state forward and make vital decisions that benefit its people—leaders who inspire others to do the same. This type of leadership is embodied by the West Virginia Executive (WVE) Sharp Shooters Class of 2022. The class represents a variety of industries, from education nonprofits to medical schools. The members of this group are not only advancing their respective organizations—they are also diligently involved in their communities.
The 2022 Sharp Shooters class is comprised of individuals fueling the state and pushing it toward a brighter future. It is easy to feel as if there are not enough hours in the day, but these honorees challenge that notion through their profound dedication and tireless pursuit to make West Virginia a better place. The WVE Sharp Shooters Class of 2022 doesn’t settle for good; they strive for greatness in all they do.
Sharp Shooters are West Virginians over the age of 43 who have made an impact in their careers and communities. They are leaders who represent what is great about the past and exciting about the future of the Mountain State. With so many nominations each year, WVE has created a strict set of criteria to ensure the award winners are nothing short of exceptional. Nominees must have lived in the state and been in their West Virginia-based positions for at least five years and must actively participate in community service and philanthropic endeavors.
