Governor Earl Ray Tomblin has announced the awarding of $12,769,410 in total grant funds to 157 justice and community service programs statewide. Grant funding will be used to develop new and innovative programming and enhance existing initiatives to further safeguard West Virginia’s communities and state justice system.
The total grant funding was allocated to programs offered by the Division of Justice and Community Services as follows:
- $1,643,815 in Child Advocacy Center Grant Funds, 21 grantees;
- Â $6,498,744 in WV Community Corrections Grant Funds, 25 grantees;
- Â $2,873,850 in Victims of Crime Act Program Grant Funds, 56 grantees;
- $163,676 in Juvenile Accountability Block Grant Funds, seven grantees;
- $184,000 in Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Title II
Program Grant Funds, 9 grantees; - $1,352,325 in Justice Assistance Grant Funds, 36 grantees;
- $53,000 in Enforcing the Underage Drinking Laws Program Grant
