With temperatures plummeting to the coldest our state has seen in decades, Highmark West Virginia has donated more than 50 blankets for the homeless at the Roark-Sullivan Lifeway Center.
“We hope that these blankets will help provide a little more warmth to those in need during these cold temperatures,” said Highmark West Virginia President Fred Earley. “It’s a small gesture, but could be a relief for someone suffering this winter.”
“We are very appreciative of the donation Highmark has made,” said Alex Alston, CEO of Roark-Sullivan Lifeway Center. “We have a lot of individuals in the center right now, and providing blankets for warmth is definitely a need.”
