West Virginia is full of unsung heroes tirelessly pursuing justice and rights for all. Leaders in the legal community are making a difference in lives nationwide, and this is made evident by acknowledging those paving the way.
In honor of those who have dedicated their lives to advocate for the rights of others, West Virginia Executive (WVE), in partnership with the West Virginia University (WVU) College of Law, created the Lawyers & Leaders award program to reveal the incredible work being done by leaders in the legal community.
Each award recipient in the Class of 2022 is making a positive impact. Having dedicated their careers to serving others and their communities, these changemakers are leaving a lasting mark on the legal profession, whether that be through their legal work, devotion to educating future lawyers, commitment to representing children and their best interests or remaining steadfast in charitable work aiming to create a better future for communities.
“In its sixth year, the WVU College of Law’s partnership with WVE magazine to honor West Virginia’s Lawyers & Leaders recognizes the extraordinary legal professionals who positively and meaningfully impact our state and our nation,” says Amelia Smith Rinehart, dean of the WVU College of Law. “Our award recipients have dedicated their careers to serving others and their communities and have gone far beyond what is expected of them to make their communities better places to live. We are so grateful to highlight their achievements in this way.”
This year’s inductees possess a passion that goes unmatched. WVE is thrilled and proud to announce the Lawyers & Leaders Class of 2022.
If you know a lawyer who is making an impact in their career and community and either practices in West Virginia or is a graduate from the WVU College of Law, nominate them for next year’s class. Nominations are accepted year-round and can be submitted at wvexecutive.com/lawyers-leaders.
