Throughout the Mountain State and beyond, lawyers are dedicating their careers to advancing the legal profession and helping others find justice. These individuals work tirelessly in courtrooms, legal organizations and educational institutions to ensure the rights of all individuals are protected. Their commitment to service and unwavering dedication to justice are detrimental to the West Virginia legal community’s ongoing impact.
To celebrate and honor these hardworking professionals and their meaningful contributions, West Virginia Executive (WVE), in collaboration with the West Virginia University (WVU) College of Law, established the Lawyers & Leaders awards program. Since its inception, this program has highlighted the work being done by those in the legal field who go above and beyond to make a difference. This recognition serves not only as a tribute to their achievements but also as an inspiration to future generations of legal professionals.
“In its eighth year, the WVU College of Law’s partnership with WVE magazine to honor West Virginia’s Lawyers & Leaders remains a testament to the extraordinary achievements of our legal professionals,” says Amelia Smith Rinehart, dean of the WVU College of Law. “These recipients represent the highest standards of the legal profession through their service, leadership and dedication to improving lives and communities. Their unwavering commitment to justice serves as a source of hope and inspiration. We are proud to celebrate their accomplishments and grateful for their contributions to our state.”
