As part of University Healthcare’s May 10-16 National Hospital Week celebration, Jefferson Medical Center will host its third annual Community Baby Shower on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Mothers and fathers-to-be, as well as new moms and dads are invited to celebrate new life and parenthood by attending this free educational event, to be held in the first floor conference room at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson.
“The purpose of the Community Baby Shower is to provide a forum for expectant and new families to learn about topics that are important to the health and well-being of new babies,” stated Arlene Fernandez-Anderson, director of outreach and project management services at Jefferson Medical Center.
According to Fernandez-Anderson, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Jefferson Medical Center professionals and community representatives to get answers to questions regarding all aspects of pregnancy to birth, to baby and beyond.
Information will be provided along with door prizes and refreshments. Vendors who are interested in having a display table are also being recruited for the event. Free screenings will be provided along with tours of Jefferson Medical Center.
For more information on attending or being a vendor, contact Arlene Fernandez-Anderson at 304.728.1707, arfernan@wvuhealthcare.com. Preregistration is strongly suggested.
