Stonewall Resort State Park will host a Memorial Day Weekend celebration featuring live music and fireworks the evening of May 25.
Steve Ludwig, sales and marketing director, said, “Summer is almost here and the staff at Stonewall have a host of Memorial Day activities to suit just about anyone from kids to seniors and everyone in between. The weekend will be packed with fun and music for the whole family.”
Morgantown country music band Moonlight Drive will perform Sunday, May 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. on the Roanoke Activity Plaza Lawn. At 9:45 p.m., the resort will host its annual Memorial Weekend fireworks display over the lake.
For those interested in making a day of it, the Palmer Signature Golf Course has tee times available and park guests also can hike or bike the park’s trail system.
There is a $5 per car fee to enter the park grounds beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 25, but there is no cost to enjoy the concert and fireworks.
On Monday (Memorial Day), May 26, Stonewall will host a presentation by the Lewis County Honor Guard on the Adler patio at 9 a.m. to honor those who died serving our country.
