Moncove Lake State Park in Monroe County is offering employment and volunteer opportunities for the summer of 2016.
Summer employment includes lifeguard and campground attendant positions. Lifeguard positions run from Memorial Day Weekend to mid-August, and the campground attendant position runs from mid-May to Labor Day.
“Working at a state park is a great way for high school and college students to build resumes that include jobs with responsibility,” said Supt. Holly Morris. “People hired in these positions are valued for the services they provide to visitors and the local area.”
Individuals interested in hourly employment at Moncove Lake State Park may pick up applications at the park office. Interviews will be conducted the last week of March and dates in April. Individuals interested in volunteer work to assist staff are also welcomed.
Moncove Lake State Park is located in Monroe County near Gap Mills. Camping, lake fishing, hiking and swimming are features of the tranquil area. The park website is www.moncovelakestatepark.com.
