Cabell Huntington Hospital Senior Services and Medtronics present, Advanced Treatments for Parkinson’s Disease and Essential Tremor, a free seminar on neurologic disorders and the medical advancements used to aid in relief.

Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor are two of the most common adult-onset tremor disorders. Various tremor types may be seen in both conditions, and your risk of both conditions increases with age.

Please join neurologist Paul Ferguson, MD, and neurosurgeon Alastair T. Hoyt, MD, for a discussion of Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor with deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapy. Learn how the therapy works, who is a good candidate and when it may be time to consider talking with your physician about getting evaluated. This presentation is designed for anyone affected by these conditions, either personally or professionally.

The event takes place on Thursday, Dec. 3, in the Harless Auditorium located on the ground floor of Cabell Huntington Hospital. Registration begins at 5 p.m. and the presentation begins at 5:30 p.m. For more information, please contact Senior Services at 304.526.2695 or seniors@chhi.org.
