Two law firms noted for their oil and gas practices, Robinson & McElwee PLLC and Geiger Teeple Smith & Hahn LLP, announced today that the two firms have merged, effective June 1. The integration of Alliance, Ohio-based Geiger Teeple with Charleston, West Virginia-based Robinson & McElwee leverages the collective knowledge, decades of experience and resources of the two highly regarded legal practices.
As the firm that represented the first oil and gas company to bring rotary drilling technology to Ohio over 60 years ago, Geiger Teeple attorneys have been at the forefront of all aspects of the oil and gas industry and have acquired a wealth of industry experience. While Geiger Teeple has traditionally been closely associated with the oil and gas industry, the firm has maintained an active practice in other areas of law, including a comprehensive business and civil litigation practice and an extensive probate and estate planning practice. In addition to its energy practice, Robinson & McElwee serves clients in many industries on environmental, litigation, business and tax, labor and employment and government relations matters.
