Are you a minority owned small business? Are you looking for a way to become competitive in the contracting marketplace? If so, join Melissa Loder, from the West Virginia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for a free one day, hands-on workshop that will provide action steps for qualified minority small businesses to become part of the SBA 8(a) Disadvantaged Business Development Program.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, Apr. 30, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Robert H. Mollohan Research Center on 1000 Galliher Drive in Fairmont, WV. The day is packed full of information, including an overview of the 8(a) program, details on the application process, making your case of evidence on being socially disadvantaged, and your next steps after the workshop.
“If you are interested in joining the 8(a) program you need to be at this workshop,” said Judy McCauley, director of SBA’s West Virginia District Office. “Having hands-on time with the resources available at this training event is invaluable for someone looking to apply to the program.”
The workshop is co-sponsored by the SBA West Virginia District Office, SCORE, and RCAC.
