The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Region III invites all SBA participating lenders to attend the 2012 America East Conference, scheduled for August 1-3 in Baltimore at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel.
America East provides intensive training to new and seasoned SBA lenders, resulting in expanded access to credit for the small business community. With access to senior SBA staff and industry specialists from across the country, updates on all SBA programs and initiatives and opportunities to network with other SBA lenders and resources, America East provides lenders the training to hone their SBA-related skills and build their small business lending network.
The three-day conference will include prominent keynote speakers, sessions on SBA lender information, and plenty of networking opportunities with SBA program and industry experts. More than 300 SBA lenders, from Maine to Florida on the Eastern Seaboard, attended the 2011 conference in Buffalo, New York and 2012 is poised to be even more successful.
“SBA is working hard to lay the foundation for an economy built to last by helping provide small businesses with the tools they need to grow and create jobs,” said SBA Region III Regional Administrator Bridget Bean. “To make our programs more attractive to both lenders and small businesses, SBA is streamlining and simplifying our existing programs and creating new programs. As the economy continues to evolve, knowledge of SBA loan programs becomes more significant than ever.”
This year’s America East Conference topics will include Making the Case: To Export to China; Restructuring and Refinancing; Using SBA: Save the Deal; Risk Management; Express Lending Made Easy: Patriot/Export/SBA Express and many more.
In addition to the educational sessions an excellent networking opportunity will be held during an optional dinner cruise on the Spirit of Baltimore. Recently renovated, the Spirit of Baltimore offers a contemporary design, a grand buffet, breathtaking views and DJ entertainment. Space is limited, so register now to secure a spot on the cruise.
