As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) West Virginia District Office and resource partners the WV Small Business Development Centers and SCORE, join forces to help small business start, grow, and succeed.
Each year since 1963, the president has issued a proclamation calling for the celebration of National Small Business Week. This year National Small Business Week will be recognized from May 4-8 with national events planned in Miami, Los Angeles, San Antonio, New York and Washington, D.C.
During National Small Business Week SBA’s West Virginia District Office and SCORE hold workshops and webinars focused towards helping small businesses. Topics include: Selling to the Government, Cracking the Credit Code, Alternative Financing Options, and Digital Marketing. In addition, the Small Business Development Center’s offer their Business Fundamentals courses at no cost during National Small Business Week, a $35 value. Free courses are available in the following counties: Ritchie, Morgan, McDowell, Ohio, Calhoun, Mingo, Putnam, Raleigh, Kanawha, Upshur, Berkeley, Hardy, Mercer, and Cabell.

SBA’s West Virginia District Office celebrates their Small Business Week winners during an awards luncheon at the Canaan Valley State Park & Conference Center, in Davis, Wednesday, May 27 at noon during the 25th Annual Teaming to Win Conference.
