Seattle-area entrepreneurs will get tips on how to use technology to stay competitive, useful international trade strategies, and best practices from successful local business leaders on June 17 at the U.S. Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Week event.

The informational sessions and workshops will be held at the Microsoft Campus, Building 37 in Redmond, WA.

Later that morning, SBA Administrator Karen Mills, Cindy Bates, vice president of the U.S. Small and Medium Sized Businesses (SMB) organization at Microsoft Corp. and Joe Koreis, president and CEO of Clarus Fluid Intelligence, LLC will discuss how technology can help businesses break into private and public sector supply chains.

During the day, breakout sessions on women’s business ownership, tribal business resources and speed mentoring sessions will be held.   A workshop on global entrepreneurship will feature experts from the Export/Import bank.  Tips on cyber-security will be shared during one session, and supply chain diversity will be discussed at another workshop.

A discussion on the “Seattle Entrepreneurial Ecosystem” will be led by local business leaders and moderated by a representative from the local SCORE chapter.  A social media workshop is also on the schedule.
