Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC (Spilman) is pleased to announce attorney Patrick R. Esposito II has joined the firm as Counsel in its Morgantown, West Virginia office, increasing the depth of the firm’s corporate and business law services.
Esposito, a serial entrepreneur and former public company executive officer, will assist Spilman clients with a variety of corporate and transactional matters. Esposito has more than 15 years of experience as an attorney focusing on corporate law and governance; emerging companies and technology transactions; financial services, banking and insurance; government contracting; and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Spilman, Esposito co-founded and led two innovative technology companies, including an Inc. 500 and venture-backed software business, to strong growth and acquisition by market-leading multi-national companies. He served as Chief Legal & Risk Officer of a publicly traded, regional financial services company. Esposito also has founded a diversified holding company focused on venture creation within the technology and financial sectors.
Admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, Esposito earned his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. He also earned a Master of Studies degree from the University of Oxford and two Bachelor of Arts degrees, cum laude, from West Virginia University.
