Spilman Thomas & Battle announced the highly anticipated return of its in-person labor and employment law symposium, SuperVision.
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring SuperVision back to an in-person format,” said Eric W. Iskra, chair of Spilman’s Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. “These events have always been a mainstay for fostering knowledge and business networking, and the live interaction adds a dynamic that webinars simply can’t replicate.”
First launched in 2007, the SuperVision event series transitioned to webinars, e-newsletters and e-blasts post-pandemic. The 2024 symposium marks the exciting return to in-person events.
“Our mission is to empower attendees with the tools and confidence they need to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of employment law. This year’s theme is particularly timely and relevant as employers face unprecedented challenges and opportunities,” Iskra continued.
The event series, which Spilman offers at no charge, is tailored to business owners, human resources professionals and anyone who manages employees. CLEs and HR continuing education credits are currently pending.
Themed as The Future of Work: Legal Strategies for Employers in a Dynamic Landscape, the symposium will cover essential topics such as remote work; workplace investigations; AI, emerging technologies and privacy; union avoidance and workplace violence.
Additionally, during the event’s Lunch and Learn session, attendees will be able to discuss other issues of interest with a Spilman attorney.
The event is 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at the Charleston Marriott Town Center. For more information or to register, please visit https://bit.ly/3RunXQP.
Another SuperVision symposium will be offered in the North Carolina Triad region later this year.
