Proceeds to Benefit Mountaineer Food Bank
Inspired by the strength and endurance of competitors in the 2024 USA Cycling Pro Road National Championships, Charleston artist Alison Bibbee created “Mountains in Motion,” a work of art that exemplifies the spirit of the race.

Bibbee captured cyclists crossing the city’s South Side Bridge on the way to climb Bridge Road, one of the race’s most challenging routes. Bibbee’s use of a blooming rhododendron and the gold dome of the State Capitol makes this work a truly Charleston-inspired piece.

“Mountains in Motion,” a 36”x 48” acrylic on canvas, will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Mountaineer Food Bank. Local Charleston businesses will display the work as follows:
- April 21-27 at Yarid’s, 1005 Bridge Road
- April 28-May 4 at Black Sheep Burritos and Brews, 702 Quarrier Street
- May 5-11 at Capitol Market, 800 Smith Street
- May 12-18 at Ellen’s Homemade Ice Cream, 225 Capitol Street
Bibbee’s artwork also will be seen throughout the Pro Road National Championships presented by Spilman Thomas & Battle on cans of “Bridge Rhoadie” beer from Bad Shepherd Brewing. The brewery partnered with the artist to create a special-edition brew inspired by Bibbee’s artwork and the iconic South Side Bridge crossing on the race route. This limited release blends local flavor with community storytelling and will be available at restaurants, bars and retailers across the valley.
