TMC Technologies of West Virginia (TMC), a leading edge technology solution provider is proud to announce the hiring of Harrison County, WV resident Kenneth Heck as a Microsoft SQL Server Data Base Administrator (DBA) supporting the Operations & Maintenance Professional Services II (COMPS II) program at the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS).
TMC is a subcontractor to ManTech in support of the FBI CJIS COMPS II program. Along with Heck, TMC has 17 technology experts providing software support, network administration, systems administration, systems integration and test, deployment, information assurance, cloud service initiatives, and operations support for the COMPS II program. TMC holds a FBI ITSSS PRIME contract enabling it to be awarded task orders to develop the Electronic Departmental Order (EDO) and Use of Force (UoF) systems, both at the FBI CJIS. TMC staff also support the new National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) program.
“The variety of projects and programs TMC supports that provide such a substantial societal benefit is truly amazing,” Heck said referring to the diverse programs the high-tech firm supports at the FBI CJIS facility in Clarksburg. “I look forward to participating in a role that utilizes my experience to bring even further value to TMC and the FBI.”
Prior to starting with TMC, Heck spent nearly 30 years working for several technology firms in West Virginia including operating a consulting business called Heck Solutions. His educational background includes earning a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree in Chemistry as well a Bachelor of Science degree in both computer engineering and electrical engineering from West Virginia University.
“Kenny Heck’s full range of database application design and implementation experience will help our valued FBI CJIS partners continue to provide critical services to the CJIS portfolio of Justice and Public Safety Systems,” TMC Vice President and Chief Technical Strategist Jeff Edgell said. “These systems are largely responsible for supporting daily public safety and intelligence functions by delivering information on demand.”
The Monumental, Marion County native currently resides in Harrison County just outside of Bridgeport with his wife Shirlee Hawkinberry and three children, Crosby, Cecelia and Kenneth.
