The Wellness Center at Berkeley Medical Center will be offering a free Quarterly Stress Management Lecture Series with Kara Combs, MPH, CHES. The series begins Thursday, July 17 at 11am in the cardiac rehab area located in the McCormack Center. The first session will be “Personal Resilience.”
“The purpose of the Quarterly Stress Management Series is to present practical information to help you learn to cope with stress to have a positive impact on your health and well-being,” said Dana DeJarnett, health promotion specialist for The Wellness Center.
Combs adds, “Everyone has some source of stress in their lives. The idea is not to remove it, but to reframe it or find a way to better manage it. Often, we are not taught these skills. These lectures will help you do just that.”
After July, the next Quarterly Stress Management Series will be offered in October. The topic will be “Stress Resilient Nutrition.”
