West Virginia Wesleyan College is again participating in the West Virginia Neighborhood Investment Program. The College was awarded $55,700 in West Virginia Tax Credits for its West Virginia Opportunity Scholarship Program, which provides financial assistance to students attending Wesleyan from Barbour, Braxton, Fayette, Gilmer, Greenbrier, Lewis, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Randolph, Tucker, Upshur, and Webster Counties that are at or below 125% of the federal poverty level.
This is a win-win situation for alumni and friends of Wesleyan and for students who attend the College,” stated Bob Skinner ’75, vice president for advancement at the United Methodist-related school. Individuals who make a donation of $500 or more to this program can be entitled to both a federal tax charitable deduction and West Virginia Tax Credits.”
