The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources will bring its “Archery in the Schools” training program to West Virginia State University (WVSU) on Friday, Nov. 14.
The training program will take place in Fleming Hall and is open to anyone who is interested in becoming certified to teach “Archery in the Schools” in West Virginia. Through the program, students in grades 4-12 are taught archery, which unlike other sporting activities, is something that boys and girls can easily become involved with.
“Health and Human Performance students at WVSU plan on participating in this course to enhance their studies and marketability in Physical Education,” said Dr. Aaron Settle, Chair of the Department of Health and Human Performance.
The cost of the training program is $25, payable to the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources on the day of the course.
The class size is limited to 20 people.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. on Nov. 14, and the class starts at 8:30 a.m.
