The West Virginia Capital Access Program approved an investment of $9,000 for a new physical therapy clinic in Short Gap, Mineral County.
The investment provides X-CEL Performance Rehab with funds for startup costs, building improvements and equipment. The clinic is scheduled to open in mid-February 2016.
The X-CEL Performance Rehab clinic expects to create four jobs when it is fully operational.
The WVCAP lending institution is the Natural Capital Investment Fund. NCIF is a nonprofit business loan fund that finances and advises small to midsized companies across nine states in Central Appalachia and the Southeast region.
WVCAP provides capital to West Virginia small businesses to invest, expand and create jobs. The state-run program utilizes a $13.1 million allocation of funds through the State Small Business Credit Initiative, which was created under the federal Small Business Jobs Act of 2010. WVCAP is administered by the West Virginia Jobs Investment Trust.
