Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated sprang into action in June, delivering more than a quarter of a million bottles of Dasani water to those affected by the devastating floods in West Virginia.

In coordination with the Emergency Management Division and the American Red Cross, Coca-Cola Consolidated organized delivery of more than 266,000 bottles of water in the week following the flood.  Not only did the West Virginia team deliver life-saving bottled water, but team members also volunteered to help those affected by the flooding. Colleagues across the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated territory assembled Buckets of Love cleaning kits and hygiene kits to donate to West Virginia organizations.

The Public Affairs team is also working with local organizations to organize an employee-lead clean up in the coming weeks.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin declared a state of emergency as more than 20 lives have been claimed and thousands are left homeless in the wake of the widespread flooding.
