Richard L. Slater has been elected as Chairman of Vision Shared, a public-private partnership that brings together business, labor, government and other diverse interests to develop strategies that will sustain West Virginia and make our state more economically competitive.
Slater is the Managing Partner of Dixon Hughes Goodman’s Western Mid-Atlantic region and has served on the board of trustees of Vision Shared since 2003, alongside government, education, business and community leaders from around the state.
“I am very honored to be elected by the Board of Trustees as the Chairman of Vision Shared,” Slater said. “Our organization is committed to strengthen the economy, transform communities, promote progressive government and improve the quality of life for West Virginians. As we move forward, I am excited about the opportunities before us and building on the successes we’ve had to date.”
Slater succeeds Russ Lorince of Arch Coal, and will be joined by newly-elected vice chairman, Mr. Kenneth Perdue, President of the West Virginia AFL-CIO
