Fans of great live music and outstanding West Virginia craft beer will once again have the opportunity to experience both at the 5th annual Brew Skies Festival at Timberline Four Seasons Resort. This year’s dates have been set for August 19th and 20th, and the entertainment schedule and brewery lineup have been released.
Presented by Mountain State Brewing Co. in Thomas, WV, the festival will feature a number of local and regional bands, as well as an impressive list of nationally known performers. Alt-country legends Old 97’s will headline on Saturday night, with blues rocker Patrick Sweany topping the bill on Friday. Other notable acts include up-and-coming Nashville singer-songwriter Kelsey Waldon; high-energy Holy Ghost Tent Revival from Asheville, NC; throat singing, one-man-band The Suitcase Junket; Norfolk, VA-based Major & The Monbacks and regional favorites Tyler Childers and Ona. As with previous years, all West Virginia based breweries – now boasting 16 in the state – are invited to attend as vendors.
This year will also feature a first annual Homebrew Competition—a friendly competition that will strive to recognize the most talented homebrewers in the region. The contest will be judged by professional brewers, craft beer enthusiasts and local and regional media representatives.
