Legal professionals in West Virginia are making an impact both in and out of the courtroom. Their service extends beyond their legal work; whether it be through educating the next generation, giving back to their communities or bringing creativity to the profession, they continuously serve as a reminder of how important advocacy is.
To highlight these efforts, West Virginia Executive (WVE) and the West Virginia University (WVU) College of Law created the Lawyers & Leaders awards program in 2017 to showcase to West Virginians the work that is being done by legal leaders in their communities.
Each award recipient in the Lawyers & Leaders Class of 2026 is making a positive impact. These advocates are leaving a lasting impression on their profession by dedicating their careers to serving others and remaining steadfast in charitable work, aiming to create a better future for their communities.
“We at the WVU College of Law are thrilled to celebrate the new class of Lawyers & Leaders in partnership with West Virginia Executive. These inductees are sterling examples of our profession, and they serve as wonderful role models for current and future attorneys,” says Susan Brewer, interim dean for the WVU College of Law. “Their impact on communities across our state has been nothing short of exceptional, inspiring others to set the highest professional and personal standard they can.
