On Monday, Oct. 3, Google and Senator Joe Manchin will bring Google’s Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map program to the Northern Panhandle. The event will begin at 9 a.m. at the Oglebay Resort and Conference Center in Wheeling with a morning session for business owners.
Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map is a program designed to empower communities to support their local businesses and encourage them to get online where the majority of people are going to find goods and services. Google is partnering with StartLogic to provide its popular website offerings – including an easy-to-build website, a customized domain name, and web-hosting for one year – at no cost.
Participating Northern Panhandle businesses can go to GYBO.com to get a free website as well as free tools, training and resources to help their business succeed online.
Local businesses will be available to discuss the benefits of this program with the media.
