Want to play an important decision-making role in Girls Night Out? The first rule is: don’t tell how you voted but tell all your friends to vote. The second rule is: don’t tell anyone what the themes are. And the third rule is: starting Monday, April 2, go to www.gnowv.com to vote for your favorite theme for this year’s Girls Night Out, a fundraiser for YWCA Resolve Family Abuse Program.
Set for August 25, 2018, this year’s GNO celebrates 20 years of raising funds and awareness to assist YWCA Resolve Family Abuse Program in eliminating domestic violence. The eagerly awaited annual event features a new (brand-new and beautiful) venue this year: the recently remodeled Charleston Civic Center. Easy parking, blissful air conditioning, great music, food and fun!
Ticket pre-sale also starts April 2 and when a ticket is purchased during theme voting (4/2- 4/20), a free GNO 20yrs commemorative cup comes with it! Essential YWCA Resolve fundraiser celebrates 20 years of raising
funds & awareness to eliminate domestic violence
What’s the reason for all the intrigue? The Theme Reveal on Thursday, May 3 at the Law Offices of Farmer Cline & Campbell at 746 Myrtle Road to kick off the countdown to the August event. GNO fans, supporters, sponsors, donors and committee members will socialize from 6-8 pm and enjoy refreshments and an insider experience of the party with a purpose. And if you’re interested in sharing your unique talents or becoming a sponsor, the May 3rd Theme Reveal is a great night to connect.
Girls Night Out, the region’s largest women-only fundraiser, draws crowds of 1,200 or more. The funds raised are critical to the continuation of services provided by the YWCA Resolve Family Abuse program, including shelter, safety and supportive services in Kanawha, Clay and Boone counties. Last year, 2,361 victims of domestic violence and their children were helped by YWCA Resolve—and GNO.
