According to the WVU College of Law website, Dean’s Partners recognizes those who have contributed a minimum of $5,000 total in one fiscal year or $10,000 total over a period of five fiscal years. Both can be based on cumulative gifts, including corporate matching gifts. The Dean’s Partners are honored at an annual gala.
Bailey is honored to be named a Dean’s Partner for his continued contributions to his beloved alma mater. Bailey received his undergraduate degree from WVU in 1976 and attended College of Law from 1979 to 1982.
Bailey’s practices civil litigation in the areas of Labor & Employment Law, Consumer Protection Claims, Insurance Coverage, Governmental Liability, Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, Aviation, Employment Benefits, Professional Liability, Creditor Debtor Rights, Predator Lending Claims, Mortgage Servicing Claims, Banking, Bankruptcy and Construction Contracts.
He is a Member of the WV Defense Trial Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. He is also a member of the American Bar Association committees on Litigation and Employment Law. Bailey currently serves as general counsel for the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority, which operates Yeager Airport in Charleston, and the Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport.
Bailey frequently lectures on topics pertaining to litigation tactics, professional liability, insurance coverage, labor and employment law, civil rights and governmental liability. He was recognized as a 2019 Best Lawyers© in America in areas of Employment Law and Insurance Law, as well as a 2018 Super Lawyer©. Bailey was named 2017 Lawyer of the Year by the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia.
