TMC Technologies of West Virginia (TMC) is proud to announce the hiring of Jeff Edgell as Vice President and Chief Technical Strategist. Edgell, will oversee TMC’s technical vision; leading all aspects of the company’s technology-based activities into the corporate strategy. Edgell comes to TMC with 31-years of technical, program and executive management, and business development and growth experience.
“Jeff Edgell’s extensive experience and overall vision to guide technology-related decision making will be of great service to our federal and private customers,” TMC President and CEO Wade Linger said. “He brings with him a wealth of experience and we are confident he will help establish TMC as a world-class technology leader.”
Edgell, who worked for Linger during his time with ManTech many years ago, said he’s happy to help TMC grow even further both in West Virginia and across the nation.
“I am excited and honored to take on this role and look forward to working with Wade (Linger) and our talented senior leadership team,” Edgell, who grew up in Buckhannon, WV said. “TMC is focused in West Virginia and I am passionate about developing jobs in the state I grew up in and was educated in.”
Before TMC, Edgell worked for DHA Group, Inc. for the last eight years, with offices in Washington, DC and Clarksburg. At DHA, he served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) as part of the leadership team. Edgell played a major role in the operations, strategy and execution that resulted in transforming the company into a technical services organization and more than doubling the size.
Previously, he served as an Executive Director at ManTech International, Vice President of Technology at Marada Corporation and Project Leader/Software Engineer at Bell Labs. He is an accomplished author and sought-after speaker, addressing such prestigious groups such as the Group of Seven (G7) which is a collective of seven of the world’s most industrialized and developed economies. Society for Logistics Engineers, South Korean Ministry of Defense, Australian Ministry of Defense and Navy Logistics Integration Conference. He also has lectured at Carnegie Mellon, West Virginia University and West Virginia Wesleyan College.
He has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College in Computer Science, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and has completed post-graduate work at Deakin University in Australia.
