Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS) was recently awarded the Marketplace Management Compliance Review (MPMCR2) contract in continued support of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). During the three-year, 8.9 million dollar project, HMS will support CMS’ Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight’s (CCIIO) in their efforts to provide comprehensive oversight of health insurance issuers offering qualified health plans (QHP) in Federally Facilitated Exchanges, as required under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).
HMS will conduct reviews of QHPs to help ensure compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations and published guidance as well as work on special projects that focus on notice requirements, provider information, and risk assessment processes. MPMCR2 marks the third iteration of the compliance review effort that HMS has won and indicates their commitment to this work.
“I am thrilled that we have the opportunity to support CMS in this project; and I’m so proud of the MPMCR team. They are an amazing group of bright, caring, and dedicated professionals who do their very best to help CMS ensure the availability of healthcare coverage,” says HMS President Leah Heimbach.
HMS is a successful and growing woman-owned small business and has supported CMS on multiple projects since 2005, including providing quality and compliance surveys of healthcare facilities, management consulting, clinical data and medical record review, software development and testing, data collection and analysis, and project management.
