Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, Inc. (YCF) is pleased to announce four new members of the Board of Directors: Martin
Howe (Harrison County), Joshua Rogers (Monongalia County), Virginia Weaver (Taylor County), and Nathan White (Monongalia County). Howe is the President of the Community Development Corporation at MVB Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Marketing from Fairmont State University and is an ICMA certified City Manager.
Rogers is an attorney and Office Managing Partner at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. He holds a J.D. degree from West Virginia University College of Law.
Weaver is the Human Resource Director at The Thrasher Group, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairmont State University and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR, SHRM-CP).
White is a Partner in the Tax Services Department at Arnett Carbis Toothman LLP. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Fairmont State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Returning board members include Chair Jonathan “J.D.” Mann (Preston County), Vice Chair Billy Atkins (Monongalia County), Treasurer Thomas Aman (Harrison County), Secretary Robert Greer (Harrison County), Immediate Past Chair James Griffin (Harrison County), Neshia Bridges (Marion County), Jean Clark (Preston County), Gerard Schmidt (Marion County), and Emeritus Member Billy Coffindaffer (Monongalia County).
“YCF is positioned to grow and create new relationships in 2020,” said YCF Chair Mann. “We are truly excited for the new board members to join our team of excellent leaders in the community. We look forward to serving our communities and sincerely appreciate the opportunity to manage such great funds.”
YCF President, Patty Showers Ryan, also announced the promotion of Laurie Abildso to Vice President during a recent board meeting, stating, “Laurie is an outstanding addition to YCF and this promotion recognizes her leadership and commitment to the communities we serve.”
